Fintechs Canada welcomes its newest member Wealthsimple

Fintechs Canada is thrilled to announce that Wealthsimple has joined the association.

“One of Canada’s fintech success stories, Wealthsimple really is changing how people think about money,” says Laurence Cooke, chairman of the board of Fintechs Canada. “Their mission to help each and every Canadian achieve financial freedom, while reimagining the future of financial services, is one close to our hearts, and so we’re honoured to have them become a part of our growing association.”

Coming off a big round of funding, Wealthsimple offers an array of products that makes them one of Canada’s most competitive fintechs: trading and investing, cryptocurrencies, savings accounts, payments, and more.

“Fintechs Canada provides an important harmonized voice for Canadian technology companies that hold and move money,” said Blair Wiley, Wealthsimple’s chief legal officer. “We are proud to support their efforts to champion innovation and look forward to collaborating to provide new perspectives on what is possible in financial services for the benefit of all Canadians.”
