Fintechs Canada welcomes Digital Commerce Bank as new member

Fintechs Canada is thrilled to announce that Digital Commerce Bank has joined the association.

“Bank-fintech partnerships are going to expedite our journey to a better future of financial services,” said Laurence Cooke, the chairperson of Fintechs Canada’s board. “Digital Commerce Bank is a willing and able partner, and so we’re honoured to welcome them to the Fintechs Canada family.”

Digital Commerce Bank joins the association at a good time. Fintechs Canada is continuing the push for modernized financial sector regulation, including greater access to payment systems.

“We support the mission of Fintechs Canada to modernize the payment system and increase participation and access amongst Canadian financial institutions and financial technology companies,” said Jeff Smith, president and CEO of Digital Commerce Bank.

Established in May 2019 as a not-for-profit member association, Fintechs Canada is the harmonized voice for technology companies that hold and move money and operate in Canada.

Our membership is growing and diverse, inclusive of consumer-facing financial technology companies, business-to-business payment processors, payment network operators, and financial institutions, among others.
